In 1997, a visionary group of parents and community leaders saw the need to provide classroom teachers accessible, flexible resources to enhance student learning.  To date, the independent Appleton Education Foundation (AEF) they formed has awarded grants totaling more than $5.2 million to fund educational programs not financed by public sources.
